Interview with Irenka Krone

You impressively  promote the job sharing approach in your speech. Where does your conviction for job sharing come from?

My conviction simply comes from my daily experience in job and top sharing. Once you start a job sharing and the duo functions well, you can’t stop working in job sharing anymore: 

This partnership brings so many benefits to your daily work, to the way decisions are made and projects driven.

Job sharing is a very participatory process in which one learns a lot from the other partner.

During your speech we can see the formula 1+1=2.5. What does this "secret formula” mean?

When two persons share a common position and a joint responsibility, their efficiency and productivity become higher than a single person can achieve. 

Two individuals working efficiently together equal more than the sum of these two persons. They both benefit from each other as well as from their relationship. 

What kind of jobs are more suitable for job sharing?

The implementation of job and top sharing is easier in the service sector.  Today, we find job and top sharings in all kind of industries, in the private and public sector. In the industry sector the environment is often more traditional and less open to job sharing.
